After exchanging vows in a church wedding ceremony, it’s become tradition for the newlyweds and their party to go for a photoshoot. Family and friends wait for them at the wedding venue to rejoice in dance and long speeches celebrating the union. The groom, my cousin, got married on December 8th 2018. I accompanied them to their photoshoot on Bofa beach in Kilifi, Kenya, where I captured this while standing on the edge of a platform at one of the entrances to the beach. A lot of details struck me. As time passes, so does culture, tradition, belief and technology.
